Conduct training and capacity building on good governance and environmental sustainability in cities.

The ICMA-CUPL EcoPartnership promotes good governance and environmental sustainability at the sub-national level via city-to-city cooperation, implement technical exchanges, study tours and conferences, and comprehensive research projects in urbanization and sustainable development.   

The partners make use of expertise in formulating green building codes and land reclamation methods, as well as developing municipal performance measurement systems and public-private partnerships.

Key Achievements:

Facilitated an approximate 150 visits to China by city managers and experts from the U.S.

Facilitated an approximate 200 visits to the U.S. by Chinese local government officials and partners

In 2016, ICMA received the China State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) “Best Organization Award.”

Work Plan: 
Task 1
Submit revised Implementation Plan outlining task and milestone to be done in time for mid-2016 graduation.
Task 2
Mobilize funding for training and international travel or direct to opportunities of getting funding.
Task 3
Provide DOS/EcoPartnerships endorsements to their Conferences/Trainings.
