The two universities work together to develop a global model for the sustainability of coastal cities, focused on restoration, conservation and enhancement of environmentally sensitive wetland areas.
As a follow up of the U.S.-China EcoPartnerships Workshop at the Department of State in Washington, D.C. on July 12, 2013, Prof. S. T. Hsieh visited ECNU on Sept. 26th and was honored to be hosted by President Qun Chen of ECNU and his staffs. President Chen explicitly expressed ECNU's continued support of this EcoPartnership on Wetlands (attached pictures).
Then the Tulane-ECNU team visited Prof. JJ Lu's several key research sites near Shanghai including the one that demonstrates modular waste water processing unit. Mr. Seth Patch, Consul, Environment, Science, and Health from the U.S. Consulate in Shanghai joined our field trip.
